Self-Employed

The California Earned Income Tax Credit is a cash-back tax credit that puts money back into the pockets of California’s working families and individuals, including the self-employed!

The amount of your cash-back tax credit depends on a few things like your income and the size of your family. If you earned $24,950 or less in 2018 and are a Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident, you may qualify for the CalEITC. If you earned $53,930 or less in 2018, you may qualify for the federal EITC. Qualifying income includes wages, salaries, tips, and self-reported income.
